What is Healthy Schools?

Healthy Schools is a program created by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). This program helps to promote healthy habits that will increase lifelong healthy patterns. Healthy students are better learners, and academic achievement bears a lifetime of benefits for health.

Healthy Schools Committee

The Healthy School Committee meets three times a year. It is comprised of school administrators, faculty, and staff as well as students and parents from each school in the district. We are looking currently for parents from all sites, and students from Hickory Flat and Ashland Elementary.
